Fascia is connective tissue that looks and acts like a vast netting, supporting all tissues of the body like muscle, bone, organs and nerves. If it were not for this supportive tissue, our bodies would be a puddle of goo on the floor. Fascia is a tube like, water filled connective tissue that is stronger than steel and functions as a moveable lattice.
Fascia is 75% water and stiffness and pain can be linked to dehydration.
Cells of the body are bathed in a slippery fluid that allows structures to freely move over each other. When not properly hydrated, the fluid becomes thick an viscous and not allowing the proper exchange of nutrients and reducing movement in the tissues.
Proper hydration along with movement, stretching, and when necessary, moist heat keep fascia and tissue mobile.
In addition, the following is a quote from Tom Myers Book, Anatomy Trains. It is this foundation I bring the complimentary frequency therapies to HTTM. Frequency will have direct effect on the fascial net!
“This ubiquitous network has enough regular molecular lattice to qualify as liquid crystal, which begs us to question to what frequencies this biological “antenna” is tuned, and how it can be tuned to a wider spectrum of frequencies or harmonized within itself. Although this idea may seem far fetched, the electrical properties of fascia have been noted but little studied to date, and we are now glimpsing some of the mechanisms of such “tuning”.
